School Age Child Care Summer Program 2024

The School Aged Child Care (SACC) Summer Program is open to community students, who are incoming kindergarten, at least 5 years of age by the program start date of June 3, through incoming fifth grade and are capable of functioning independently in a group setting. Participation in the SACC program is contingent on student independence with limited need for support. SACC will not be an appropriate atmosphere for one-on-one supervision. Our daily schedule varies at each campus, but we do provide academic enrichment, group games, arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor play, field and swim trips, guest presentations, and snack time. Program protocols follow Comal ISD guidelines and are subject to change. Please see our Parent Handbook for additional information.

Registering Your Child

Registration is online through the Eleyo Parent Portal. Eleyo is a convenient mobile-friendly online platform for registration, payments, and account management. Eleyo can be accessed using a computer, iPad, or a smartphone. Before you begin the online enrollment process, create yours and your students Eleyo profiles.
Gather the following information for reference:
  • Name and phone number of all individuals you authorize to pick up your child (including an emergency contact)
  • Credit/Debit Card—(Visa, Master Card, or Discover). The first tuition payment and registration fee must be paid online, which will be charged upon contract approval.

Registering your student does not guarantee enrollment into SACC. Once registration is completed you will receive an automated confirmation email, with the subject line stating: "Your School Age Child Care After School Program Contract Request". This puts your contract on a waitlist for contract review and for verification of availability at your selected campus. You will receive an email notification within 10 business days if your contract is approved for enrollment. If you do not receive an email notification, confirming your contract has been approved for enrollment, within 10 business days, you will be notified via email when there is availability for your child(ren). There will be no further communication of contract status until you receive notification from SACC Support Services that there is space available.

We will be capping enrollment for Summer campuses at 50 students, until we begin to get closer to Summer. This provides us with planning time for current staff placement, and summer hiring. Historically, we have been able to enroll 100 students per campus. Should staffing allow, that is our goal this Summer too.

Once your contract has been reviewed and verification of placement is confirmed, we can then approve your student and you will receive an automated email, with the subject stating: "Your School Age Child Care After School Program Confirmation" and you will then be charged the registration fee, per child, and the first weekly tuition, per child, to your saved payment method. If funds are returned as insufficient, an account is unfound, or a notification to not honor card, we will move on to the next waiting contract.

The School Age Child Care Programs follow the guidelines and procedures of the District. All policies, staff, curriculum, accountability, and finances are all monitored by Comal ISD's Student Services Department. The program does not receive state or federal funds; School Age Child Care is self-funded. Salaries, supplies, and administrative expenses are supported entirely by registration fees and tuition.
