Bulverde Middle School Attendance Boundaries
In November 2021, the Comal ISD community passed a bond proposition to fund the construction of Bulverde Middle School (BMS), to provide enrollment relief for Pieper Ranch Middle School, as well as Smithson Valley Middle School. Bulverde Middle School is currently slated to open August 2024.
In September 2023, Comal ISD convened an Attendance Boundary Committee. The purpose of this committee is to assist the district in developing a recommendation to be presented to the Board of Trustees for the BMS boundaries. Because of the location of BMS, there is a possibility that some of the elementary and high school boundaries could potentially be impacted as well. As such, the district has selected representation from the following campuses (please note that just because a campus is listed does not necessarily mean that its boundaries or feeder pattern are changing):
- Bill Brown Elementary
- Indian Springs Elementary
- Johnson Ranch Elementary
- Kinder Ranch Elementary
- Rahe Bulverde Elementary
- Specht Elementary
- Timberwood Park Elementary
- Pieper High School
- Pieper Ranch Middle School
- Smithson Valley Middle School
- Smithson Valley High School
The committee is comprised of 55 community members, five representatives from each of the campuses listed above. The meetings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates:
