Lamar University Scholarship in Educational Leadership

In order to address the growing need for certified administrators to support the fast growth in Comal ISD, the district is partnering with Lamar University. The partnership will offer a Leadership cohort integrated courses for an Educational Administration Masters and Principal Certification.

The next Leadership Academy with Lamar University Masters Program will begin in the Spring of 2024 and will consist of 10 Courses (30 Hours): 16-month program with an expected completion not to exceed 18 months.

Timeline

- - March 28, 2024 - Informational Meeting from 4:30-5:00 
  - March 28 - Application Posted on District Website
  - April 26, 2024 - Comal ISD Application Deadline
  - April 30 - May 3, 2024- Review submitted applications, interview candidates, and select scholarship recipients
  - May 10 - Interview Selected Applicants
  - May 14 &15, 2024- Scholarship recipients notified
  - August 1, 2024 - Deadline to apply to Lamar University

Application requirements for CISD are:

Letter of recommendation from principal
Current Resume
Interview (Please note that applicants will be screened for interviews and not all applicants will be granted an interview.)
Signed 3-year Promissory Note and Agreement
