School Age Child Care

Welcome to Comal ISD's School Age Child Care (SACC) Program. Our program provides after school care and summer care for students enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade capable of functioning independently in a group setting. School aged children are welcome to register at any of our 20 elementary schools for year-round care. We provide high quality child care that meets the needs of each student and family in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment.

The After School Care program runs from immediately after school to 6:30 PM throughout the school year, as defined by the CISD calendar. The Summer program runs from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM for a 9 to 10 week program, dependent on the approved CISD calendar. We are closed on all CISD student holidays.

A variety of activities are offered: indoor and outdoor recreation, games, academic enrichment, creative play, time for homework, and free time for the children to pursue their own interests in a safe, friendly environment. The program follows the policies and procedures of Comal ISD.

School Age Child Care works in cooperation with the principals from each elementary school site regarding discipline, staff, and ongoing monitoring of the program. A cooperative arrangement between School Age Child Care and the Child Nutrition Department ensures an appropriate snack each day for students enrolled in the program.

registration fee of $50 per child/$100 maximum cost per family.
