From Our Students
“Overall I loved my time going to school in this district. I was successful academically and feel like I gained a lot of experiences that prepared me for the field I wish to work in later on in life through my teams and clubs I was involved in!”
“My High School has a lot to offer and I’m grateful to be here. We have a variety of AP & Honors classes and for the most part teachers are passionate about teaching. I love our facilities and technology, it’s top notch and allows me to feel ahead in terms of access. I feel like I’m ready to be a college student and I’m not scared of my future. I owe my readiness to this school, my peers around me who are like minded and driven and my supportive family. It really takes a lot of work on my part and everyone else’s but I know it will all be worthwhile.”
Our Superintendent
Dr. Chapman’s career has been on an upward trajectory, starting as a middle school principal and eventually becoming a high school principal before landing his first superintendency in Chillicothe ISD.
He prioritized building strong community support within the school system, earning him the 'Citizen of the Year' award. After seven successful years at Comfort ISD, where he also received the 'Gifted and Talented Administrator of the Year' award, Dr. Chapman furthered his skills by obtaining a Doctor of Education degree from Texas Tech University.
He was twice nominated for the 'Superintendent of the Year' award and made the top five in 2013. In 2014, John became the superintendent of Ennis ISD and received the 'Region 10 Superintendent of the Year' award for his work in fostering community involvement and improving education for all students.
Dr. Chapman moved on to Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD in 2018, where he implemented innovative programs such as P-Tech and T-STEM, prioritized technology, and provided social-emotional support for students.
In October 2022, he returned to his roots as the superintendent of Comal ISD, leading a dedicated team in their mission to make the district a national benchmark in education.
