In November 2023, the Comal ISD community passed a bond proposition to fund the construction of Elementary 23 and Middle School 9, both located in the new Mayfair development off IH 35. These campuses are scheduled to open in Aug. 2025 and Aug. 2026 respectively.    

In September 2024, Comal ISD convened an Attendance Boundary Committee. The purpose of this committee is to assist the district in developing a recommendation to be presented to the Board of Trustees for the new elementary and middle school boundaries. The district is seeking parent representation from the following campuses:  

  • Freiheit Elementary 
  • Oak Creek Elementary 
  • Canyon Middle School 
  • Church Hill Middle School 

The committee will comprise approximately 40 community members representing each campus listed above. Below you will find presentations and information provided to the Committee. Future presentations will be loaded the day after the presentation is given. We will also upload the parking lot questions and answers one week prior to our next meeting.
