Thirty-Five Comal ISD Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

February 4, 2026 - Thirty-five Comal ISD student athletes signed letters of intent to play the sport of their choice at the collegiate level during the third signing day events of the school year.

As family, friends, coaches and teammates looked on, student athletes from four of Comal ISD’s five comprehensive high schools signed letters of intent to play their sport at the next level.

Among the proud onlookers was Canyon High School track coach Peter Pardo whose daughter, Lauren Pardo, was signing her own letter of intent to run track at Henderson State University.

A few highlights from the day include the variety of sports to be played from water polo, diving, golf, tennis and soccer to softball, baseball, track, basketball and football.

A couple of students signed with military academies including Joseph Coronado from Canyon High who will play football at the United States Coast Guard Academy, and Thor Myklebust from Pieper High School who will play football at the United States Air Force Academy.
