The Comal Education Foundation Casino Night is much more than fun and games. It is an opportunity to raise money that will directly benefit Comal ISD teachers and students.
This year, 24 teachers/campuses were awarded $45,800 in grants for hands-on classroom and/or campus programs including a school garden, drones, field trips and technology.
Casino Night is just one way the community can help ensure these grants continue to be offered to deserving teachers. Founded in 2001, the Comal Education Foundation has awarded funding to all campuses in the district believing that as a community everyone must work together to strengthen the educational opportunities for every child.
This year’s Casino Night begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Stelzenhaus at Wurstfest in New Braunfels. Refreshments will be provided by The Gristmill Restaurant. Besides casino-style gambling, a live auction, wine pull and raffle prizes will be available.
