What You Need to Know about Comal ISD’s Accountability Rating

Texas provides annual academic accountability ratings to districts and schools. TEA assigns campuses and districts a rating of A, B, C, D, or F for overall performance, as well as for performance in Student Achievement, School Progress, and Closing the Gaps.

Comal ISD received an overall score of 88 for 2026 Accountability. To view district and campus 2026 Accountability Ratings, please visit TEA Accountability Reports.

In addition to the district’s overall rating:

  • 18 campuses earned an “A” rating in 2026.
  • 14 campuses earned a "B" rating in 2026.
  • 15 campuses improved their accountability score from 2026.
  • Comal ISD campuses received 94 distinctions in total.
  • Bill Brown Elementary, Hoffmann Lane Elementary, and Davenport High School earned all possible distinctions in 2026.
