  • The Center for Health Care Services provides quality integrated care to improve the lives of children and adults with mental health conditions, substance use challenges and intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT)
  • TCHATT services are provided through a partnership between providers and Texas schools and can be accessed through the student’s school counselor.  All sessions are provided virtually over a secure network outside of the school day. Services provided include:
  • Short term counseling for depression, anger, anxiety, self-harm or suicidal feelings, family/peer problems or trauma.
  • Treatment with medication for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, or mood swings.
  • Referrals to long-term treatment when necessary.
• Hope Hospice Children’s Grief Program
  • Hope Hospice offers counseling, support groups, and grief camps. This program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to focus on their grief and gives children the opportunity to bond with other children who are grieving. Goals include decreasing fears related to death and helping children and teens feel less alone by learning that others are feeling many of the same emotions they are experiencing.

  • Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas is so much more than a place where grieving children come to heal. We change lives.
  • Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas was founded on May 20, 1997, as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Recognizing the permanent impact loss can have on young people, the Center was established to help children and families grieving the death of a loved one.
