STEM Enrichment
CyberPatriot - Grades 6-12
CyberPatriot introduces middle and high school students to cybersecurity through team-based challenges in which they identify and resolve security vulnerabilities in simulated computer systems. Participation builds technical knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork while exposing students to cybersecurity and other STEM careers. Esports - Grades 9-12
Esports gives high school students the opportunity to participate in organized, team-based video game competitions. Students strengthen communication, strategic thinking, collaboration, leadership, and responsible digital citizenship while building connections with peers who share similar interests. Robotics - Grades 4-12
Robotics provides students in grades 4–12 with hands-on opportunities to design, build, program, and test robots while working as part of a team. Through real-world challenges and competitions, students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while developing creativity, perseverance, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Academic Enrichment
Baylor TIP - Grades 4-12
The Baylor Talent Identification Program (TIP) identifies academically advanced students through above-grade-level assessments and connects them with enrichment and accelerated learning opportunities. Talent identification testing is offered during grades 4–6 and again during grades 7–8; students admitted to the program may access Baylor TIP opportunities through grade 12. Participation helps families better understand a student’s academic strengths and identify appropriately challenging learning experiences. Academic UIL - Grades 2-12
Academic UIL provides students with opportunities to develop and demonstrate their knowledge through individual and team competitions. Events span numerous subject areas, including writing, mathematics, science, social studies, speaking, listening, chess, and the arts. Participation strengthens academic skills, confidence, critical thinking, and perseverance while allowing students to explore areas of interest. Events offered vary by grade level and campus. National Math Stars - Grades 2-3
National Math Stars recognizes exceptionally strong young mathematicians and connects selected students with advanced mathematics enrichment, mentoring, advising, and long-term support. Comal ISD uses existing assessment data to identify high-performing second- and third-grade students who may be invited to apply. Participation is by invitation only.
