Proposed Attendance Boundary Changes

In November 2023, the Comal ISD community passed a bond proposition to fund the construction of Elementary 23 and Middle School 9, both of which will be located in the Mayfair development off IH 35. These new campuses are scheduled to open in August 2025 and August 2026, respectively.

In September 2024, Comal ISD formed an Attendance Boundary Committee consisting of 40 community members representing Oak Creek Elementary, Freiheit Elementary, Canyon Middle, and Church Hill Middle schools. The committee met four times in the fall to develop attendance boundary recommendations for Elementary 23 and Middle School 9. On November 7, the committee presented its recommendations to the Comal ISD Board of Trustees.

The proposed boundary maps below will be presented to the Board of Trustees for final approval on November 21. If you have any questions about the proposed attendance boundaries, please submit them via the feedback form using the link below. The form will be open November 8 - 21.
