FERPA Video/Student Records Request Form

FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, is a federal law that affords parents the right to have access to their children’s education records, the right to inspect and review their child’s records and the right to have some control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information from the education records.

Once a request has been submitted, Comal ISD has 45 days to respond. All requests will be researched to see if the record exists. Please be aware that not every request may produce a record. If the record does exist, Comal ISD is not required to provide a copy. An appointment will be made with you, within the 45 days, to review and inspect requested records that exist at Support Services (1404 IH 35 North).
