Comal Education Foundation New Teacher Grant Application

Starting your teaching career can be exciting and overwhelming. To support our newest educators as they begin their journey in Comal ISD, the Comal Education Foundation is proud to offer the New Teacher Grant.

This grant provides new teachers with up to $200 in funding to help purchase essential classroom supplies. Whether it’s books, basic supplies, flexible seating, or classroom decor, we want to help you create an engaging and welcoming learning environment for your students without the added stress of out-of-pocket expenses. This grant is intended for certified teachers who are new to the teaching profession. Experienced teachers who are new to Comal ISD do not qualify. All applications will be vetted through Human Resources to verify teaching experience.

Who Is Eligible?

Teachers new to the profession and beginning their first year in the classroom for the 2026–2027 school year in Comal ISD.

What You Need to Submit:

A completed New Teacher Grant Application
A brief (2–3 sentence) statement of need explaining how the grant will support your classroom setup

Deadline:

All submissions must be received by Friday, August 7, 2026 by 11:59 p.m.
Recipients will be notified via email by August 12, 2026.
