Sick Leave Bank

All full-time CISD employees and bus drivers/assistants that have been employed by the district for at least one year have the option to participate in the CISD Sick Leave Bank.

To participate, employees must donate two local sick days to the bank during the open enrollment period (October 1st to October 31st) and must have a balance of five total local sick days and/or state personal days left over after the donation. Additional contributions may be required from current members in order to maintain the sick leave bank.

In order to use leave withdrawn from the sick bank, members must have exhausted all other earned leave in his/her account. A member may withdraw a maximum of 30 days per school year (September 1 – August 31) and 120 days per lifetime subject to approval by the Human Resources Department.
