Instructional Technology

Welcome!

CISD's Instructional Technology Team is here to support you as you incorporate technology into your instructional design.  There are so many digital tools that can help engage students in collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and reflection.  We are here to help you navigate through the options, make sure they are safe and secure, and find the best fit for your class.  Please feel free to reach out anytime you’d like discuss the ins and outs of tech tips or get support to enhance your students’ learning through instructional technology.

As we come back to school, it is going to be important to make sure you and your students are ready for learning with technology.  Here are some resources to help:
*Please make sure you are logged in with your Comal ISD Google account to view these resources.
The CISD Virtual Toolkit is a great place to find resources to support teachers in their learning platform.  Visit to find specific on demand tutorials, tips on digital citizenship, lists of approved digital resources, and much more!
ClassLink is a web based one stop shop where teachers and students can easily access all of our frequently used district programs and web files.  This single sign on portal will help simplify logging in to our district learning platforms, such as Seesaw, Google Classroom, or Echo.  More information for district employee access is available here.
Google
Did you know that Comal ISD staff have access to UNLIMITED storage in Google Drive?  This is a great place to store all of your files.  Google Apps, like Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, are all connected to your Google Drive.  This allows teachers and students to share and collaborate with their peers.
Technology Issues?
If you are needing help with hardware, such as your laptop, or having trouble installing software, contact the CISD Technology Department through the HelpDesk.  They are available Monday through Friday from 7:00 am through 4:30 pm.
