School Age Child Care

Welcome to Comal ISD’s School Age Child Care Program. Our Program provides after school and summer care for students enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade that can function independently in a group. The after school care program runs from immediately after school to 6:30 PM throughout the school year, as defined by the CISD calendar. The Summer program runs from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM for a 9 to 10 week program, dependent on the approved CISD calendar. We are closed on all CISD student holidays.

School aged children (K-5) are welcome to register at any of our 20 elementary schools for after school care, or any of the 6 elementary schools selected annually for summer program. We provide high quality child care that meets the needs of each student and family in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment.

A variety of activities are offered: indoor and outdoor recreation, games, academic enrichment, creative play, time for homework, and free time for the students to pursue their own interests in a safe, friendly environment.

The program follows the policies and procedures of Comal ISD. Policies, staff, accountability, and finance are all monitored by CISD's Student Services Department. The program does not receive tax dollars and is self-sustaining. Salaries, supplies, and administrative expenses are supported entirely by registration fees and tuition.

Please view the program tabs for additional information and to enroll your Student with SACC!

Participation in the SACC program is contingent on student independence with limited need for support. SACC will not be an appropriate atmosphere for one-on-one supervision.
