A grievance is a complaint (expression of dissatisfaction).
Grievance procedures are specified in district policies and are designed to resolve complaints at the lowest possible level and allow a grievant to present a grievance to someone in authority.
Did you know?
Usually, student or parent complaints or concerns can be addressed by a phone call or a conference with the teacher or principal. For those complaints and concerns that cannot be handled so easily, or where the parent is unsatisfied with the decision by the principal, the district has adopted a standard complaint policy at FNG (Local) in the district’s policy manual. A copy of this policy and the form for filing a complaint may be obtained in the principal’s or superintendent’s office or on the district’s website.
