Even though school is not in session, we encourage families to maintain a summer schedule that encourages academic enrichment, reading for pleasure, and physical activities.

Vocabulary.com (Grades 4-12)
Students in grades 4-12 can log in through Clever using their Student ID/lunch number as their username and password. Once logged in, click the Vocabulary.com icon and choose “Start a New Vocabulary.com Account” to begin working on vocabulary practice.  A class code is not needed to access the program.
To access content on Khan Academy, you do not need to set up an account. Click the “Courses” dropdown arrow to choose course content to work on. If you would like to set up a student account, click “Sign up” in the top right and choose “Learner”. Enter your child’s birth date and click “Sign up by choosing a username”. This button will appear after you enter your child’s birthdate. Fill in a guardian email, username, and password. Then click Sign up. Verify your child’s account through your guardian email to complete setup. A class code is not required to set up an account.

Learning.com has created a Digital Tools Playlist to support parents and students with easy technology lessons such as online safety, keyboarding, computer fundamentals, etc.

These resources are free through July 31st and offer students a variety of learning options to continue content instruction throughout the summer. Lessons can be downloaded for continued access beyond July 31st.

Students will take an adaptive benchmark at the start of the program to help build a learning pathway that is right for them!
Summer Camps in the Area
Below you will find some summer camps offered to students in our area by various organizations that we find exciting, fun, and engaging. 
 
The Central Texas Writing Project is offering their Young Writers Camp online this year to K-12th grade students for $250/child.  Click on the link to learn more! 
 
St. Philip's College is hosting their Science & Math Summer Academy virtually this year to students 11yr-15 yr old through Zoom. Click on the link to learn more! 
 
Time for Kids is offering a free virtual summer camp experience for students (K-5) in which they can enjoy from home. Parents who sign up will receive an email each day with a list of activities their children can do either independently or with a little bit of assistance. Campers will explore a new activity each day in arts and crafts, sports and games, performance skills, scientific concepts, and storytelling.
