Welcome to Hill Country College Preparatory High School!

Comal ISD believes in providing students and families choice, whether it be in the realm of extracurricular activities or the opportunity to choose what school to attend. Starting in the 2020-21 school year the district will be replicating one of its most successful high schools, Memorial Early College High School, in the Hwy. 281 corridor.

Co-located at Spring Branch Middle School, Hill Country College Preparatory High School will be a New Technology High School (NTN) that will offer students a honors-level program of study with dual-credit opportunities that prepare students for college-level coursework. The curriculum is focused on STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, and is built around engaging instruction that emphasizes learning through inquiry, and projects with real-world connections that emphasize creative and critical thinking.

A High School of Choice is an ideal setting for students who like to be challenged in the classroom and wants the academic rigor of a Dual Credit, Project Based Learning, Pre AP/ AP curriculum. It is also well suited for the student who has the drive to obtain a post-graduate degree and knows that they need college credit early because they are already on an advanced pathway. Finally, it is a perfect fit for the student who likes learning through projects and a more hands-on format.

The campus culture at HCCPHS will also be very unique in that it will emphasize a collaborative environment that embraces diversity and the construction of a peer culture that supports each other’s success. In addition, with only a freshman class next year we are anticipating having approximately 40-50 students, making HCCPHS a great alternative for the student seeking a smaller learning environment.

I invite you to view a short video that we have created that gives you an overview of what a High School of Choice is like, including testimonials from some of our current students. This will be a great opportunity for you and your student to learn more in-depth information about our campus and have questions answered.
