Info:  The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Summer Theatre Workshop is a two-week residential camp designed for high school students seeking a highly intensive and creative theatre experience. Participants will rehearse and perform in a one-act play directed by one of six highly successful theatre educators. Students interested in performance will study acting, voice, and movement in morning classes taught by TAMUCC Theatre faculty. Returning campers will take a three-hour master class in acting and movement. Technical Theatre Students will attend classes in design, participate in the creation of each production’s sets, lighting, and costumes, and serve as crew for the shows.
 
Texas State String Camp

Info: For over 33 years, the TSUSC has provided outstanding summer musical experiences for students 12-18 years of age. Our summer string camp gives students the opportunity to interact with the world-class musicians who comprise the faculty in the Texas State School of Music. Our goal is to provide exceptional experiences for musical and personal growth, ultimately enriching the quality of your child’s music education. Participation in the Texas State University String Camp encompasses performance experiences in multiple venues. From large ensembles to chamber music, our camps offer a wide spectrum of musical training. At TSUSC you will discover new challenges to further your growth as a musician.
 
UTSA Summer Band Institute
When: June 19th - 25th
Who: 6th - 12th graders

Info: The UTSA Summer Band Institute offers a comprehensive music experience focused on developing the musician in addition to developing playing techniques. At this one-week playing intensive camp, campers will perform with one of our concert bands and attend daily classes that include rehearsals, sectional and masterclasses, and an elective class, which focuses on performing soundtrack music and developing stronger marching techniques for our high school students. This camp provides an opportunity for students to receive exceptional instruction on the instrument that they love and to broaden their learning of many musical components.
  
UTSA All-State Choir Camp
When: June 27th - 30th
Who: 9th - 12th graders

Info: Outstanding clinicians from prominent Texas high school music programs along with UTSA’s own superb conductors and faculty provide an intensive study of the All-State audition music to high school campers from across the state of Texas. Campers will also have the opportunity to get to know the beautiful UTSA campus, learn about life as a UTSA student from our camp counselors, and enjoy games, a talent show and more!
 
Texas Tech University Band and Orchestra Camp
When: July 3rd - 9th

Info: Band and orchestra students will grow as musicians and gain friendships that will last a lifetime.
 
Texas State Choir Camp
When: July 4th - 7th
Who: 9th - 12th graders
Location: San Marcos
Info: The Texas State Choir Camp is the longest-running choir camp in the state. It is perfectly designed and meticulously planned to ensure that every camper is thoroughly prepared on their competition music through a series of dynamic rehearsals from some of the top choral educators in the state and the most diverse and dedicated team of choral conductors that make up the Texas State University Choral Department. Students are supervised by highly trained and extremely committed Texas State camp counselors and staff.
 
UTSA Percussion Camp
When: July 5th - 9th
Who: 6th - 12th graders
Location: San Antonio
Info: Students will be immersed in the exciting world of percussion, helping to develop their technique and musicality, improve their sight-reading abilities, and learn new styles of music. Through interactive masterclasses, talks, music technology sessions, and ensemble experiences students will receive instruction from UTSA faculty members Sherry Rubins and Paul Millette and other guest instructors.
 
University of Houston, Dance Summer Theatre Camp
When: July 11th - 23rd
Who: 9th - 12th graders
Location: Houston
Info: Theatre & Dance CAT Camp is a two-week overnight or day camp for high school students that focuses on actor training and audition technique. Students train with UH faculty, M.F.A. alumni, and Houston-area theatre professionals throughout the two weeks during the morning workshop sessions.
