Comal ISD’s Canyon Lake High School class of 2022 has a new Salutatorian, Macie Goodson. District administrators have apologized to Macie for a miscalculation which initially placed her as third in the class of 225 graduates.
Comal ISD’s Smithson Valley High School class of 2022 has a new Valedictorian, Ava Roat. District administrators have apologized to Ava for a miscalculation which initially placed her as salutatorian of the class of 706 graduates.
Annually, U.S. Representative Chip Roy bestows the Exceptional Senior Award to graduating seniors from the Texas 21st congressional district who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, integrity and diligence.

Three Comal ISD athletes were named the "best of the best" by the San Antonio Express-News in the Alamo City High School Sports Awards. They are the best in their sports which includes baseball, soccer and wrestling.
During its June meeting, the Comal ISD Board of Trustees recognized FFA students who qualified for state competitions this spring along with the district's first National PTA Reflections winner.
Comal ISD is proud to honor the recent graduates who have committed to serve in the United States military whether they are enlisting, were appointed to an academy or accepting an ROTC scholarship.
Second-grade student Peyton Crow made Comal ISD history this spring as the first National PTA Award of Excellence winner for her photography entry in this year's Reflections program.
Comal ISD is proud to partner with community partners who offer scholarships to district students. This year the district with the help of these community partners awarded a total of 477 local scholarships to seniors across the district. These scholarships range in amounts from $250 to $25,000.
