CISD Privacy Statement

Comal ISD is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the users of its website. We will protect your personal information to the maximum extent available.

We will not release your personal information to any other party without your permission except for the sole purpose of data verification and fulfillment of services or as required by law.

If we give information to any organization, it is in the form of compiled (and anonymous) statistics about groups of members, but not individuals, who participate in our district’s website resources.

Email: If you send us an electronic mail message (email), the message will usually contain your return email address. If you include information that identifies who you are because you want us to address issues specific to your situation, we may use that information in responding to your request. Remember that email is not necessarily secure against interception. Please send only information necessary to help us process your request. On occasion, your email will be forwarded to those individuals (employees, school board members) necessary to address that email.

Email Lists: The information we collect when you subscribe to one of our email lists is used solely to administer these lists and is not shared, disclosed or sold to other organizations. Users who no longer wish to receive our group emails may unsubscribe by visiting http://listserv.comalisd.org/mailman/listinfo/cisdnews.

Compiled Statistical Information: It’s possible that from time to time we may collect and compile personal profile data regarding our registered users of our different web-based applications. This data does NOT contain personally identifying information such as name or email address. Individual identifying information will never be provided to any other party without your consent, or as otherwise required by law. Data we compile about usage may be shared with participating agencies and/or companies and might include, for example, “xx% of our use is between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.” or “xx% of our parents access their students’ grades through the Parent Connection service.”

Security Information: All the data you provide to us is protected to ensure both the privacy and security of your data.

Links to Other Sites: The Comal ISD website provides links to other websites. CISD is not responsible for the privacy policies of other websites, and CISD’s privacy policy does not apply when you visit these other sites. We recommend that you be aware when you leave our website and encourage you to read the privacy statements of other websites you visit.

Cookies: We may, from time to time, use cookies when you log in to your account. These cookies allow us to remember you when you visit our site.
