Student Services
Nurse
Goodwin Primary provides a full-time LVN who is on duty to provide your child help if the need arises. Screening for vision and hearing are done for all Goodwin students. Our nurse, Mrs. Wehmeyer, goes into the classrooms and instructs on hygiene, dental care, and germs. She is available to the children, families, faculty and staff for all health care concerns and questions.
Counselor
Goodwin Primary also has a counselor who works with students in the classroom to provide guidance lessons on using appropriate behavior, stranger danger, anger management and showing respect. Ms. Quiroz (key-rose) also works with students in small groups and on an individual basis.
Community In Schools
The Communities In Schools project director, Ms. De La Cerda, works with the students and their families to help children stay in school, learn and prepare for life. A variety of services and programs are available during the school year. Some of the programs that students can benefit from are academic assistance, behavior issues and social service needs.
