They will understand what is inside of a computer and how major devices in the computer work. After the students gain an understanding of the computer itself we move on to word processing.

In word processing the students produce documents that range from changing fonts, font sizes, colors to setting up tables and adding graphics. Spread sheets are covered next and involve the students setting up rows and columns on the spread sheet. The students will then add formulas and data to produce a graph or working spread sheet. Desktop publishing includes items produced to by students to include: business cards, letterheads, menus, calendars, newsletters, etc.

Web Basics is an introduction to the web mastering class taught at the high school level. Some HTML coding is done in the class, but will only be used to tweak individual sites. In high school more coding is done as well as other languages such as java script, java, etc.
