Comal Education Foundation Partners

Partnering with the Foundation gives businesses and individuals an opportunity to financially support education in the Comal Independent School District and children in our community. This is an excellent way to increase your visibility in the community and can be claimed as a tax deductable contribution. 

Everyone who contributes is valued as partner of the Foundation. At the Gold level or higher, Foundation Partners receive prominent recognition at events; in SchoolLife newspaper that is distributed to families of over 17,000 students; to the CISD faculty, Board of Trustees, and civic leaders.  Additionally, Gold, Platinum and Diamond partners receive invitations to all Foundation events and exposure on the CEF website with a direct link to your company. 

The Foundation needs your partnership more than ever to combat the educational budget cuts facing the public school system.  In response to the budget crisis, the Foundation is committed to providing fundng to all CISD campuses beginning in the 2011-2012 school year. In addition to campus wide funding, partner support maintains the general operating fund which covers operating, programming, awards and fundraising activities. Some of the other CEF awards and programs are the Jan Heckendorn Spirit Award which provides school supplies to students, District Teacher of the Year, and the Jan Heckendorn Academic Recognition Banquet which honors top graduating seniors and their most influential teacher from Canyon, Canyon Lake and Smithson Valley high schools.
