Oak Creek Elementary was rewarded with a special luncheon for all of the school's staff who contributed to the Comal Education Foundation at the beginning of the school year. One-hundred percent of OCES' staff donated during the Foundation's Employee Giving Campaign so they were rewarded with this special treat during lunchtime on February 4.
On the serving line were Comal Education Foundation board members (l-r) Greg Estes, Carlene Comer, CEF Executive Director Margaret Tenorio,
and board member Dan Krueger.

Enrich. Expand. Excel.
The mission of the Comal Education Foundation is to enrich learning and expand educational opportunities so all Comal Independent School District students can excel.
Founded in 2001, the Comal Education Foundation (CEF) has awarded funding to all schools in the Comal Independent School District impacting students and teachers, providing much needed resources to enrich student learning experiences that fall outside the district's operating budget. Our volunteer based organization raises funds through a variety of programs and fundraising events throughout the year.
As a community, we must work together to strengthen educational opportunities for children in our community to build a brighter future. Excellent schools are a crucial part of a strong community and lead to safer neighborhoods and higher property values. Most importantly, quality education helps students develop skills that future generations need in order to be effective contributing members of society. |
