The Comal Independent School District provides cafeteria and gym space for community use after 6:30 pm on days when school is in session. Current Board Policy GKD Legal  and Local shall govern all non-school use of facilities. All requests for use of gated athletic areas must be approved by the CISD Athletic Director. The use of campus theater and stage areas are limited and at the sole discretion of the Fine Arts/Theater teacher assigned to that specific campus.

Rental Requests must be submitted online and are processed in the order they are received. Please do not contact local schools or district employees requesting available dates/times.

The following are required to be on file at the CISD Business Office prior to facility use:

(1) A refundable deposit of $250.00.
(2) The organization or individual liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000.
(3) A signed agreement document listing the rental details, dates, and location. (This form will be e-mailed to the user after the facility and staff availability are verified by the District designee.)

Upon receipt of the online request, you will receive a phone call if additional information is needed.  We will begin processing your request by checking at the district level t and then at the campus level. When all levels are clear you will receive a call to send your Certificate of Insurance by email.  You will bring your refundable deposit when you sign the contract. It may take up to fifteen (15) business days to process the request. During summer months, please note that this approval process will take longer due to summer hours, holidays and employee time off.  The signed agreement and rental fee must be in the district’s possession at least three (3) business days prior to the event.
