MVMS Hawk Families,
March is often times viewed as the beginning of the downhill side of the school year. We have been in school for 24 weeks and have only 12 school weeks left until summer break. This month will bring daylight savings time, spring break and the first of our STAAR tests. To meet the needs of our students, teachers continue to provide small group tutoring by invitation during the school day through enrichment time, tutoring to students before and/or after school by appointment and our focus continues to remain on setting high standards for our Hawks and for ourselves.
As we all continue to push forward, it is natural to feel discouraged or frustrated along the way. I hope you’ll continue to support our Hawks by acknowledging their hard work, their strengths and supporting them through their struggles every chance you can. The combined support of home and school will help them successfully push through the last 3 months of the school year.
We hope you’ll keep the Hawk News calendar close at hand and join us for the varying upcoming fine arts, athletic, school and parent events. We continue to strive to support our community by being an active participant in encouraging our middle school students as they explore new interests and talents on their way to becoming the amazing young men and women who will grace the halls of CLHS.
As always, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me by email or phone at 830-885-1300.
