Mission & Vision of Morningside Elementary School

A Letter From Principal Thomas:

Welcome to Morningside Elementary where all of our Lions show Class and Commitment on a daily basis!

As principal, I am honored to serve the Morningside community, as we all work towards student success. I have enjoyed building relationships with our families these past 4 years and look forward to getting to know all of our new Lions, as well.

Morningside is a Dual Language campus that works hard at developing critical thinkers, creative minds, and productive citizens. Our faculty and staff work together to create a dynamic learning environment that breeds success. For the 2013-2014 school year we will incorporate several activities to celebrate student achievement and continue to deepen our community ties. We are also proud to be a key part of obtaining City Council approval for a neighborhood park to be built adjacent to our school. Our student body will continue to be a huge component to its development. Through these types of leadership opportunities and the seamless integration of technology, we are striving to prepare our students for the 21st century work and school demands.

With the on-going support of our parents, community, central office, and board members, we will continue to demonstrate Class and Commitment as we reach our goals. We invite you to visit our campus and see the great learning that is evident throughout the building!
