A Letter from The President, Kelly Carson.

Although this year is my first year as a PTA President, I can already feel that this year is going to be a great one.  In the first month alone, we have had a record number of volunteers sign up to help with events, functions, take-home work and our hospitality committee.  Our hospitality committee has hit the ground running, welcoming both new and familiar faces to the faculty and staff.  And while membership is on track to exceed last year, we would still like to extend an invitation to all parents, grandparents, siblings, friends and family to join us - we want you to be a part of our school's PTA.  This year you can look foward to a continued break from traditional fund-raising, as our new chairman organizes our first (and hopefully annual!) Walk-a-Thon.  In December, we will continue to offer the Holiday Store, and I am especially excited that the Reflections program will once again be a part of Mountain Valley, giving our students the chance to showcase their talents in the art world.  If you have any questions or suggestions regarding our PTA, please feel free to stop by our PTA room or email me at 4butterfly@mail.ev1.net
