| Bring to Registration: your child, their birth certificate, social security number (optional), and up-to-date immunization records, and two documents showing proof of residency (i.e. electric, water, and/or phone bill, rental agreement).

Early Childhood Information:
If you have a child with special needs be aware that services become available on his/her 3rd birthday. Contact the school or the Special Education Department at (830) 221-2088.

Full-day Kindergarten Requirements - (State Law): A child must be 5-years-old on or before September 1, 2011.

Half-day Prekindergarten Requirements and Transportation
Federal Law: A child must turn 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2011 AND:
- Meet Federal income requirements OR
- Meet limited English proficiency qualifications OR
- Be homeless OR
- Be a child of an active duty member of the armed forces or a child of an armed forces member injured or killed while on active duty OR
- Be in, or have been in TX Dept. of Family and Protective Services foster care or other residential care
Documentation is required to determine if the child is eligible for prekindergarten. A current Free or Reduced Lunch application (if applicable) must be completed in August for the year in which the student will attend prekindergarten. Proof of income required if selected for federal verification. *Each year the federal guidelines are adjusted on July 1.
