All full-time employees and permanent bus drivers/techs are eligible to receive life insurance through a Comal ISD insurance provider.
Comal ISD contributes no portion of life insurance premiums.

An amount between $10,000 and $500,000, in increments of $10,000 not to exceed 5 times basic annual earnings. Guaranteed Issue Amount is $200,000 if under age 60, $100,000 if age 60-69. Benefits cease at retirement. |

An amount between $5,000 and $150,000, in incremenets of $5,000. Guaranteed Issue Amount is $50,000 if under age 60 and $25,000 if age 60-69. Spouse Optional Life coverage may not exceed 50% of the employee's covereage. Coverage ends when your spouse turns 70 |

You can purchase $10,000 for each child up to age 19 years old (or 25 years if a full-time student).
You must elect Optional Life coverage for yourself in order to cover your spouse and/or children. |
