Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get my child’s Student ID number?
The student ID number is printed on the progress report and report cards. It is not your child’s lunch number. It is the number assigned by CISD at registration. You can bring a photo ID to your child’s campus and request the Student ID or ask your child to have the teacher send it home.
Why do I need to use the last four digits of my child’s social security number?
Addresses, phone numbers, student IDs, and birthdays are easy for people to access. The social security number is a secure number that only a parent should have.
This is a safety feature that will help us protect your child’s personal information.
I’ve waited 3-5 days and I still do not have access to my child’s grades.
Check to be sure that you added your child to your account.
Log in to your account, click on Manage Students. If you do not see your student(s), click Add Students. Fill out the information for your child and click SAVE after each child. Now choose Submit Application at the bottom of the screen.
What if I don’t have an email account?
There are many free sites that provide email accounts.
The email is required so that your user name and password can be emailed to you. If you need to access your user name and password and the system does not email it to you, you will need to come by your child’s school and show proper identification in order to request your information.
How will I know when grades are updated?
Grades are automatically updated every time a teacher logs in to GradeSpeed. We are asking teachers to update grades by Friday at 4:00. Please allow extra time for writing assignments or projects.
What do I do if I have a question about my child’s grades or assignments?
Contact the teacher directly. The office will not be able to answer specific questions about your child’s grades. |
