| Case Management |
CISD Case Managers coordinate services for those students who are referred to and enrolled in the Keystone Program. Case work services will be offered to identify and assist students with personal, emotional, and social problems. The Case Managers work closely with the contracted community partners and other social service providers to ensure services are delivered as needed for the individual student. |
| Mental Health/Counseling |
Hill Country Community MHMR —Screening and
assessments along with school and community based
individual one-on-one counseling sessions will be offered by licensed mental health therapists
Connections Individual and Family Services, Inc. will offer alternative counseling services such as art, music, sand tray, play, and recreational therapies along with family counseling and parenting skills.

| Violence Prevention |
The Olweus Bullying Prevention program is designed to prevent or reduce bullying in schools. By restructuring the school environment, the program helps lessen opportunities and rewards for bullying. Four key components of the program are School Level, Classroom Level, Individual Level, and Community Level. The goals of the Olweus Program are:
-To reduce existing bullying problems among the students
-To prevent the development of new bullying problems
-To achieve better peer relations at school.
Communities In Schools Prevention Specialists along with campus staff are responsible for implementing this program in all CISD elementary schools over the term of the grant. |
| Re-integration |
Individual counseling and family support services will be provided for those students who are returning to their homes and schools from an out-of-home placement.
These services are offered through the Comal County Juvenile Probation Department.

| Substance Abuse Prevention/Intervention |
| LifeSkills Training , a research validated substance abuse prevention program, will be taught to 6th-8th grade students by CISD Prevention Education Specialists. LST is designed to teach students the necessary skills to resist social pressures to smoke, drink, and use other drugs. Lessons are geared toward helping students develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence and enable them to effectively cope with stress and anxiety. |
| Parenting Skills Training |
| The Parenting Wisely curriculum will be offered through CISD Prevention Education Specialists and Connections. The Parenting Wisely program teaches parents and children communication skills, assertive discipline, and effective supervision. |
| GED |
| Classes for Comal ISD students and families for those interested in obtaining a General Education Diploma (GED certificate). Services provided by Comal/Guadalupe/Kendall County Adult Education Cooperative. |
| English as a Second Language (ESL) |
Classes for Comal ISD students and families who are interested in learning the English Language. Services provided by Comal/Guadalupe/Kendall County Adult Education Cooperative.

| Early Childhood Learning Programs |
In-home early childhood training and care to teen parents and their newborns utilizing the Parents as Teachers curriculum. Services provided by McKenna HealthCare Foundation.
